I know summer is half over, but if you live in the Midwest like me or anywhere south of me, you know there are plenty of hot summer days ahead of us. With that being said, I wanted to share a denim short round up with y’all! Denim shorts and jeans are two of the hardest items to shop for because everyone has different body types and styles. Your bestie might wear a pair of shorts that you absolutely love on her but hate on you- and vice versa. I tried to cover all my bases here and share a variety of denim shorts- material, washes, fit, lengths, etc. I hope you will find some in this post that you love! First up are these high rise, dark wash Abercrombie shorts. I got these last year and was so happy to see they restocked them this year. This style comes in several different washes and styles. (I have the light wash destructed pair too!) I love the length on these because they come down a little lower in the back to give you more coverage. They’re a true denim material so not a ton of stretch, but I got my true size (27) and love the fit. If you like a little extra room in your shorts, I would size up!
Next are these awesome high rise 90s shorts! These are true denim and come in your standard washes (light, medium, black, and white). This style is awesome because it gives your legs room to breathe and they come down lower in the back for more coverage. The flay lay pictures of them do not do them justice at all so I’m including a picture of the model wearing them, too! These are the best throw on and go shorts for summer!
Everyone needs a good pair of black denim shorts. I don’t think I owned any black denim shorts until two years ago and looking back I don’t know how I ever survived without them Black denim shorts should be a staple in your summer wardrobe. They can be dressed up with a lace cami and heels or dressed down with a band tee and sneakers. Here are some of my favorites! I love the fit and length on both pairs! The curve love pair has a little more room around your hips which is perfect for my curvy girls! These shorts fit TTS, but as always size up if you like your shorts a tad roomier!
And last, but not least, this is just the hodgepodge random section of shorts that I couldn’t put into one category. There are more distressed shorts, paper bag shorts, midrise shorts, cuffed shorts. You name it! I tend to stick to my favorite 2-3 pairs of tried and true denim shorts, but I know some of my girlfriends love to mix it up with every outfit so I wanted to be able to give you plenty of options!
